Just opposite the Wat Chaiyamangalaram, is another famous temple in Penang, the Dhammikarama Burmese Temple. The main attraction is of course, none other than the Standing Buddha and it is pretty impressive. When I first saw it, I unfortunately had the urge to give him a five. Not that he responded by the way.
Of course, while I was there, I saw some people getting their blessings from the monk and click click I went. One of them was obviously enjoying a Pepsi? Quite interesting, luckily they didn’t chase me for taking a picture. But they should be kind and all forgiving right?

LOL.. it’s really usual to have them have a Pepsi or other drinks on their hand. Cos, they are bored and has nothing to do at the Sima Hall compared to the Main Shrine Hall.
Btw, I’m one of the frequent devotee there and I know these monks…
