Penang Laksa

Well, I have definitely said that Char Kway Teow was one of the things that you must eat in Penang. What are the others? Well, for one, we have the Penang Curry Laksa, not the Assam Laksa (don’t think I have a pic of this..hrmmm).

The Penang Curry Laksa is good, and the chilli they give is perfect for the dish. Apparently, Ipoh Curry Laksa is more famous but well, I have yet to try those from Ipoh yet. So, the Penang version gets top mark from me.

Penang Chee Cheong Fun

My other favourite food in Penang is none other than their verson of Chee Cheong Fun. No Yong Tau Foo to distract my attention. Just the plain white chee cheong fun and delicious shrimp paste. I always ask for more shrimp paste as the combination is out of this world!

Loh Mee

We were at this coffee shop trying to get a dose of Penang Hokkien Mee (or Prawn Mee as it is known here) but they were sold out by the time we were there. Well, we settled for the Loh Mee which is good. Very thick soup (some call it gravy) and massive helping of hard-boiled eggs!

So, there you have it, some of the other stuff you can eat in Penang beside CKT :)
