In Penang, on Jalan Tanjung Bungah, you will see a large sign that says Toy Museum. It claims it is the largest in the world of its kind, with over 100,000 toys, collectibles, figurines and of course, listed in our local book of records as the largest and first of its kind here in Malaysia.

So, the museum is not exactly fantastic. The layout could be better, the lighting could be better, the shelves could be more well-maintained and some of the toys are well, stuff you and I can own. But there are some stuff in there that you will just say Wow! Especially the big figurines like Mr Wall Crawler above.

And if you are thinking you need to be a toy geek to enjoy the place then that is not so. There are enough of Disney, Doraemon and other cartoons that are less “geeky” for the random visitor. Overall, I would say it is a nice place to visit if you are ever in Penang.

is that gold-plated? hehe .. but that thing looks really creepy ‘tho
