You didn’t read the title wrongly. There is an authentic Italian restaurant by an Italian chef that is located in SS2. Probably the weirdest place to be but hey, it is quite a buzzling lil corner of PJ. Not to mention, it is one of the few rare Italian restaurants that actually serves pork (Sorry Min!).
So, you will get Caesar Salad with real pork bacon bits and its quite a big dose of it. Definitely not for the health conscious or for people dieting.

So, of course, we must take advantage of pork being served, so Sharon ordered the Sakura Pork. And no, Sakura Pork has nothing to do with the flower. It is basically organic pork or as I would put it “healthy pork”. No chemical additives or antibiotics are used to feed the pigs so essentially, you get a clean pork, and apparently tastier too.
The pork was quite good but it takes a while for the flavour to set in. So if you don’t like it at the first bite, take a few more. It will grow on you.

This is probably the safest dish to order in any Italian restaurant and it comes recommended by Chef Enzo himself. I don’t remember the dish being so yellow but no amount of WB correction will get rid of the yellowness. Maybe it was that yellow.
This was one creamy dish and one of the better Carbonaras I have tasted. Is there even such a word as Carbonaras? :P

And lastly, we have the dessert. A traditional Italian dessert that for the life of me, I can never remember the name. Its a bit sourish, I kinda like it but it is not one of Sharon’s fav dessert. We will probably try the Tiramisu the next time we are there.
So, the next time you are in SS2 and you fancy some Italian food, the remember to drop by Buonesera.

do you use flash when you’re shooting food in public places? ur foodie pics always look very nicely lit
@meendee Sometimes I do, but most of the time I don’t. I use quite high ISO for the shots. And shooting with a 35mm, means I can go with quite low shutter speed. Back home, I adjust the curves to brighten it up :)
Wow the food looks good, how is the pricing?
@Mark A bit on the high side :) Definitely not SS2 pricing hahaha
its some berry thing … with a fancy name!! the dessert was weird as. sorry chef enzo! :P
@sharon hehe next time we try other dessert :D
