Pepper Lunch Step 1

Most of the time, franchised food kinda suck. But once in a while, there comes a franchise where you can actually enjoy the food. But most of the time as well, they are rather expensive. Same goes with Pepper Lunch. I first had it in Singapore, loved it, and now it is available in Pavilion KL. They should have one in Mid Valley for my lunch.

So, the first step in Pepper Lunch is of course, order what you want, and it will be delivered to you looking something like the above.

Pepper Lunch Step 2

Then, you cook it a lil bit, mix it up with some sauces, and then its good to eat. Make sure you don’t take too long or you will either have burnt food or the heat will run out and your meat won’t be cooked.

Actually, when Sharon and I ate at the Pavilion branch, we tried to cook her steak super fast but the heat still wasn’t enough in the end. Wonder why…

Pepper Lunch Step 3

After polishing off the delicious peppery rice + meat, it is time for some dessert. They have some ice cream thingie there that is quite nice. Smooth, soft, sweet and you can choose toppings. We had the black sesame in Singapore which was good but unfortunately not available here yet.

Have a try at Pavilion KL, same floor as the food court.

Oooh. We have Pepper Lunch here too. But not that dessert.

We also have a Pepper Lunch clone here called Sizzling Pepper Steak or something like that. It’s just like PL but cheaper. The only difference I’ve noticed is that PL has better sauces.

The food looks very appetising, when I visit Singapore, next will definitely visit it. Hello Nick, Could you please tell me a bit about this franchise brand. Are they franchising?

Thanks in advance for your response.

@adrian thanks, you should really give it a try :)

@Manny ooo didn’t know they were there as well. Took them quite a while to get to Malaysia :P

    @Lee thanks :)

@babe hehe yep the caramel one. :D Yah yah, we have that in SG..

@Dhawal Shah I am not too sure how their franchise program works. Could be owner-operated expansion. I just assumed it was franchise since it seems the most logical way to go about it :)

we’ve got a pepper lunch here in sydney and my friend has been raving about it. she insists i must make a visit. i think the novelty is that you can ‘masak-masak’ your own food! :)
but i must say, i can already feel my mouth salivating just looking at those first two pictures. really tempting!

@shal haha masak-masak is not one of my favourite but the peppery taste is pretty good. :)
