As you can see, my blog updates are rarely in chronological order. I visited Taiwan a long long time back. And during my last day there, we went to the Longshan Temple in Taipei. It is the name of at least five famous temples in Taiwan so it can be kinda confusing which Longshan Temple you went to.
While we were there, there was a prayer session going on and every nook and cranny was filled with people doing the prayers. Of course, some were there to do their own prayers and from the looks of it, it looks to be some serious prayer.

Everyone was holding these little prayer books and chanting along. Not that I can’t understand what it says but it can be quite soothing to hear those chants. I know some people would disagree and say it can be quite unsettling.

And it was even more curious that most of the people at the prayer session were older folks. And they do get tired sometimes, so they have a seat. Just wondering where all the young people are? Too busy chasing materials in life?

And so I was quite lucky to have witnessed such an occasion. Where passion for religion is showcased. At least its not just another temple shot. Lucky me :)
Well, it is going to be a long holiday because of Hari Raya. So I shall leave you all alone until Wednesday!
