Time Traveler's Wife

The weekend was filled with activities including playing board games in Borders (part of work) and also going to karaoke (which was a comedy act of its own) so there was only time to watch one movie during the weekend. Sharon has been waiting to watch The Time Traveler’s Wife so that was our choice for this weekend.

Without ever reading the book and just watching the movie, I would have to say that I think the book would have been better. The movie seems a bit rushed and the premise of the plot is to drive on the emotional strains on being a time traveler’s wife. Unfortunately, the movie did not really pull that off.

You get to witness it here and there but it isn’t convincing enough and you end up not being able to really care for any of the characters in the movie. Of course, if you are a female, and you happen to think Eric Bana is the sexiest thing on two legs, then this movie will be a real treat for you.

As for me, I probably got bored after the first few minutes and it isn’t difficult to predict the story from the trailer itself. The only pull the movie had was the emotional aspect and I found it lacking. And also the awesome song in the trailer is not in the movie. What a shame.
