I found out that Jackie Chan has a new movie out only after browsing through the cinema listing. Since Sharon has seen Avatar, Sherlock Holmes and all the blockbuster movies, our list for a movie together was running thin. Therefore, Jackie Chan didn’t sound too bad, and hey, theres Billy Ray Cyrus. Can’t go wrong with that country singer :P

The movie is pretty much your typical Jackie Chan film. It is action, it has comedy and a touch of romance as well. Although the romance bit with Jackie Chan was a bit weird. It was also a nice touch for the director to introduce the movie with some clips from Jackie’s other movies throughout his career. Played a nice game of “I’ve seen that before!”

Other than that, there wasn’t much to shout about. It as safe as Jackie has gone and worse still, he obviously can’t do all his stunts anymore so his body double was even more apparent this time around. The kids did an ok job, but when its them acting like brats, can’t get any easier right?

If you don’t mind sitting down through another standard Jackie Chan affair, then go ahead. Make sure you stay till the end and watch the bloopers. At least that is worth the admission ticket, sort of.
