The Monday Movie Review is back and because I have not edited photos to share yet. Rather than keep quiet, thought I would revive my weekly movie review. I was in Singapore over the weekend but that did not stop my usual weekend adventure in movies.
The first was a movie based on a popular videogame, Prince of Persia.
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time wasn’t the best movie of the year, but it was still highly entertaining. This is one movie where you just enjoy it, and not question if there was ever a purpose for the movie being made. In the game, you had fun jumping around and the movie captured that essence very well.
It was fun watching the hero jump from here to there, this is like Parkour set in a desert city. And the swordplay was fun to watch too. The plot is quite paper thin, and the cliches were thrown at you from the word Go! If you were expecting Oscar nominated material, then this movie will not suit you. Then again, the same candy floss movie Avatar was also nominated for many awards.
The second movie that I watched over the weekend was an absolute bore! But my sis hasn’t seen a movie in the cinema for the longest of time, and so I decided to be the nice brother and accompany her and Sharon to the movie. What can I say?
This movie is all about old women, corny jokes, some of the most horrible fashion ever and a non-existent plot. I was sitting there, constantly asking myself, “when will this movie end?!” I think the best review of the movie came from the guy seated two seats away from me. The moment the movie started, he went into a deep slumber, snoring throughout the movie.
I have no idea what is the appeal with Sex and the City but this is strictly for the fans. Even then, I am not sure if they could have stomach the movie.
LOL….SATC is more for the gays and metrosexuals la :-P

Heard that prince of persia is a cool movie…..havent seen it yet though :(
Catchy title :P anyway, yeah, I agree, Prince of Persia is entertaining, still confused which one is better to watch: shrek or prince

SATC 2 albeit thin on plottt … it is a ridiculous feast for the eyes …shoes, men, abu dhabi, more shoesssssss .. not sure about the clothes :P
i always look for a good movie review first before watching new movies .
