The A Team

Anyone looking to remake a classic should take a look at the recent A Team movie. When the poster was first released, I thought it looked good then as the casting seems spot on. I didn’t remember watching a trailer of the movie but when it was released, I thought that it was a must watch of the year.

Luckily I wasn’t disappointed.

Sticking very much to the heart of the series, the movie gives us a sense that the crazy gang can complete any crazy missions – the only kind they like. The cast was perfect in reprising the classic roles and not once did I miss the old cast. The humour is spot on, the action bordering on ridiculous at times and from the word go, you will not find a moment where you will feel bored at all.

This was definitely THE movie so far for me this year.

Marmaduke

After the A Team, Sharon and I wanted to watch Karate Kid but there wasn’t any good seats. So we went to watch Marmaduke instead. I am not a big fan of talking animal movies but I pretty much watch everything anyway. Marmaduke wasn’t too bad, although I am not sure if Owen Wilson’s voice fit the huge Great Dane.

The plot is rather normal – just think misfit teen or quirky teen but in an animal setting. The dogs however weren’t that particularly cute to look at but maybe because I am not that big of a dog fan. Overall, one for the kids and if you are feeling particularly kiddy that day.
