When it comes to food, pork is probably on top of my list. So if an establishment serves pork, you can bet that I get more excited eating there compared to other places. I always thought that Centrepoint was kinda dead, and if not for a certain Integricity, I doubt I would have gone there at all.
Once I was there, I was introduced to a restaurant called Champ’s and they are quite famous for their porky dishes. First up on order was the Chu Yok Fun and this was quite an expensive hawker dish at RM17.90. Luckily it tasted good, and definitely one that I will order again when I have craving for pork noodles.
Since this was gonna be a porky meal, I went for the Crispy Pork Belly next and this was quite nice for a snack. Priced at RM18.00, this will go well with a few glasses of beer and a quick catch-up with friends. I bet that they will polish the plate off in double quick time.
And finally, we complete the porky meal with the third main dish of the night, which was the Baby Back Pork Ribs. Let me say that this was one of the better pork ribs I’ve tasted and I am no longer sad that Tony Roma’s does not serve pork here in Malaysia.
If I needed to get pork ribs, I’ll make way to Champ’s, part with RM38 for half slab and savour every bite. There you have it, if you are around Centrepoint, and you got a craving for pork, drop by Champ’s and you won’t be disappointed. But the bill might shock you just a little bit.
