The first time Sharon and I went to Cebu, we stayed at Hilton and that was a great hotel. But we also fell in love with Shangri-la and its Ocean Pavilion. And that was where we decided to hold our wedding ceremony. We initially wanted a beach holiday but it was better to hold it away from the sand and crowd.
The above was shot during the rehearsal evening, and yes, it was that dark by the time we hit 6pm.
But what made us fell in love with the place was more than just the Pavilion. The beach was also a gorgeous place to hang out. Too bad I was so busy preparing for the wedding that the only time I went to the beach was to take a photo or to look for people. Maybe I can make a return trip there, when I can finally afford the rates per night again :P
And then we have the some nice places that we can use for portrait shoots, and as you can see, the ultimate reason I have for choosing such a place was determined by the number of locations I can take photos in. All I ever remembered in the planning process was where would be a cool place to have awesome photos, and the answer was Cebu.
Not that I can’t get awesome photos anywhere else, but Cebu seem a bit more unique as an option.
These are just some shots that I had the time to take, and I definitely hope that I can go back there again. Either for a holiday or to shoot a wedding. Would be awesome to be on the other side of the camera in Cebu :)
